BARNEY:
*5 yr old male entire collie X
* Lovely nature, really affectionate but is not house trained
* He went to a home for 8 months but they brought him back because they couldnt cope with him peeing in the house- we did advise them to get him castrated, but they didn't and unfortunately, funds at the kennels are very limited so we are unable to afford the neutering cost

* Ok with small terrier type dogs, doesn't get on with large dogs
* Has previously lived with a 2 year old child and was brilliant
* Has been with us for about 18 months- 2 years now.

BOWIE:
* 2 yr old Deaf male collie X
* Good with other dogs and cats
* Ok to live with older children, but not young ones as they may scare him
* Knows basic sign commands
* Very vocal in the car as he gets scared by traffic
* Gentle leader trained
* Loving, and affectionate, really sweet and hates kennels

VIVA

*18 month old Dobi Bitch

*very sweet nature, but is very VERY protective

*she was returned because she was guarding the female

*she will need someone who is very experienced with this breed, no children or cats

*also need to put on a lot of weight

LAURIE

*1 year old male Saluki X lurcher

*very lively

*Has never really been shown any boundaries so will need help to settle in to a new home

*ok with other dogs, very interested in cats.

Houdini

*3 yr old male terrier X

*very sweet little dog, but really hates being in kennels and needs to get a new home soon

*he will need to be castrated

*not good with cats, some dogs he’s ok with

*really worth a second look.

HARRIET

*Older female Staffi

*She has been with us for way too long now, nearly a year so is desperate to find a loving family to call her own.

*has had bad experiences prior to coming to us so will need a bit of time to re-adjust to living in a home environment

*very voice responsive on the lead but cowers with fear if she hears shouting

*she can be picky with which dogs she does like and which she doesn’t

*please give a golden oldie a second chance

BOB

*Very sweet natured little Westie X JRT who has got just about everything wrong with him.

*he has tumors in his mouth, is blind in one eye and the other isn’t that great, probably deaf. To be honest he doesn’t have that much going for him. However, he is the happiest little dog I have met, he loves life and is so grateful for event he smallest thing, for example clean bedding!!

*sadly he is not going to have a very long life, but it would be really lovely to see him settled in a home for the rest of his days with someone who loves and cares for him.

SMITHY

*Very sweet 3 yr old male staffi

*does not cope well in kennels, he gets really stressed which leads to him chasing his tail... Due to this, his tail has a bald patch. However, in a home he will be occupied and this shouldn’t be a problem. He is extremely underweight at the moment as well, but again this should correct its’ self in a home environment.

*Has previously lived with another female staffi and they got on really well.

*desperately searching loving new family

BETTY

*Very sweet 7 yr old female staffi who is pretty easy going

*loves cuddles and attention, and loves being with other dogs

*can be quite vocal to get your attention, but may well be completely different in a home.

*she is a well compacted staffi who probably won’t be quite as high maintenance as some of the younger dogs.

CASSIUS

*such a sweet, loving older male staffi who loves everyone and everything...

*He probably about 8 yrs old, and is just looking for a comfy sofa to sleep on, with about 20-30 minutes of gentle exercise everyday as he will not cope with long walks.

*he has so much character and such a comical face, all the staff love him but he is constantly overlooked because of his age.
